Bargain Shopping In New York April 24, 2021 Lisa Sammons What are some great vintage shops in New York? Needless to say, the Empire State is just filled with fantastic vintage shops. If you’re looking for thrift stores in New York, we’ve got a whole list of incredible places to check out. Bargain hunters definitely don’t want to miss Cure Thrift, a funky NYC shop that’s just a few blocks from Union Square. For slightly higher-end antique seekers, we’ve got a list of amazing antique stores you’ll want to check out. Vintage shops are great for your wallet and the environment, so shop smart and buy used! What are some other great places for bargain shopping in New York? For those hunting for all the deals and steals, we’ve got an entire Buffalo road trip of vintage shops planned out for you. There’s not much more fun than a whole afternoon of thrifting! Buffalo has so many thrift shops, seriously, it’s worth the drive! Outside of Buffalo, the small town of Owego has a fantastic two story antique center that you’re sure to get lost in. What are some unusual shopping destinations in New York? While there’s the obvious places we could mention inside of New York City, the state has quite a few bizarre shops for shopping connoisseurs to enjoy even outside of the Big Apple. Meat lovers will have a field day at both this beef jerky outlet and bacon-themed store. The numerous charming old nostalgic general stores spread throughout the state will have you longing for simpler times, as will Vidler’s, one of the last remaining 5 & 10 stores in the entire state (it’s barely changed since it opened in the 1930s!). Once you’ve got your fill of shopping, there are plenty more oddities to check out in the Empire State. Have a look at this list of the weirdest places in New York and see if any sound appealing, and don’t forget to grab a bite to eat, maybe at one of our many unique restaurants?
