During the fall months, there is one scenic byway that you certainly do not want to miss — the High Road to Taos Scenic Byway. When you drive through Chimayo, stop at the tiny church that has become one of the most popular churches in New Mexico. El Santuario de Chimayo is the last surviving Spanish fortified plaza and is believed to be built with miraculous healing powers.
