Nestled underneath one of Wisconsin’s most popular venues, The Rave, sits a defunct pool that’s been visited by everyone from headlining musicians to phantom swimmers. It may very well be the most intriguing of all the places hiding underground in Wisconsin.

Most Wisconsinites are familiar with The Rave in Milwaukee.

If you’re not, it’s a multi-level, multi-venue, concert and entertainment complex.

The building that houses The Rave dates back to the 1920s and was initially the home of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Dubbed the Eagles Club, it was basically a YMCA and social club in one.

The building boasted an array of amenities, including a grand ballroom, bowling alley, and…

Though it hasn’t been used for decades, the pool is still accessible.

Easily The Rave’s best-kept secret, most people are completely unaware of the pool’s existence.

Although, rumor has it that it’s not uncommon for performers to ask to check out the defunct swim spot.

As a result, the pool area is now filled with autographs, rather than water.

These days, the only way to get a peek of the pool (if you’re not a rock star) is to take one of The Rave’s guided tours, which are offered periodically. Also, some VIP packages include pool access.

You should be warned, though. The pool, along with the rest of The Rave, is allegedly haunted.
