Alabama is home to a variety of incredible attractions. Interestingly, some of them are among the oldest attractions in America. One in particular is Rickwood Field, which you can learn all about below.

Rickwood Field is located in Birmingham, Alabama. It was built in 1910 by a young industrialist named Rick Woodward, which makes it America’s oldest baseball park.

This historic field is also the former home of the Birmingham Barons and the Birmingham Black Barons.

Today, it’s home to several high school baseball teams. It also hosts a variety of tournaments.

Rickwood Field is one of Alabama’s most historic landmarks. In fact, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

It’s also been preserved as a museum. During your visit, you’ll discover several things that’ll remind you of yesteryear, including an old turn-style entrance and lots of unique memorabilia from baseball’s earliest days.
