Slowly but surely the eight buildings on Bathhouse Row have come back to life. We celebrated when the Superior Bathhouse became the first brewery in a national park and now there’s yet another reason to come to the Row. The Hale recently reopened as a hotel and you’ll definitely want to book a night or two. Let’s spend the night and see the renovations at this revitalized bathhouse.
The oldest building on Bathhouse Row is now a luxurious hotel.

The Hale has always been one of the more cosmopolitan houses on the row.
Wikipedia Even in the late 1800s the Hale showcased more modern amenities than its neighbors and provided a more well-rounded spa experience. The first Hale bathhouse was built in 1841 by John C. Hale and multiple renovations have occurred since its original construction. Before becoming Hotel Hale, the bathhouse also served as a movie theatre in the 1980s.
Much of Hotel Hale is modern but the establishment certainly pays respects to its roots. Each room is named after one of the other bathhouses on the row.
Hotel Hale The Fordyce, Superior, Lamar, Ozark, Libby, Maurice, Quapaw, Buckstaff, and Hale each have unique flair but cozy amenities. Rooms have a pillowly king or queen bed, en-suite bathroom, local art on display, and wifi. The Hale is the largest room at over 600-sq. ft. and this pictured room is the two-bed Quapaw.
Rather than isolating itself from the Row as the “new,” Hotel Hale creates an immersive experience within the national park.

The immersive experience isn’t only found inside the rooms of the hotel.
Facebook/Hotel Hale The outdoor dining area sits near what used to be the carved out thermal cave, which is now on display. This upscale dining area is called Eden because of its relaxing atmosphere and surrounding greenery. Zest is the other restaurant at the hotel, it’s more of a casual breakfasting area in the front overlooking the Row.
There’s really no need to wait, plan your trip to the Bathhouse Row soon!
