Maine is one of the most scenic states in the country for hiking and taking in breathtaking views. While there isn’t a shortage of nature, Ship Harbor Trail is unique in that it’s a loop trail with pretty scenery along the southwest coast of Acadia National Park.

This stunning trail is just over one and a half miles and is a great destination for bird watching, checking out different types of wildflowers, and exploring the forest as well as the beach. Since Ship Harbor Trail is rated easy, it’s an ideal hike for people of all different ages and levels. And, if your dog is on a leash, they can appreciate the picturesque views too!
