The general atmosphere here is not like most restaurants and it feels more like an offbeat coffee shop.

Bloodroot The restaurant was founded by Bloodroot Collective, a group that branched out of the Westport chapter of the National Organization for Women. Bloodroot still lives up to its activist roots and holds occasional feminist workshops and lectures. The founders are still heavily involved in day-to-day operations and you’ll often find them working in the restaurant.

If you like trying different foods, this is the spot for you! The menu changes seasonally according to what is locally grown throughout the year.
