Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge is one of Delaware’s most impressive natural wonders. It was recently named the most beautiful place in Delaware, and we agree that it is an unforgettable place that’s sure to capture your heart.
The refuge consists of more than 15,000 acres of preserved marshland and waterways, and it was first funded by a Federal Duck Stamp program. It opened in 1937 and has expanded since.

The National Wildlife Refuge is a significant spot along the Interational Flyway, a pathway that thousands of migratory birds take each year on their journeys north and south.
