The quiet town is a lovely place to visit for its proximity to two beautiful wildlife refuges - Des Lacs and Lostwood - as well as its own historic charm. That charm is most easily seen in their scenic historic hotel, the Bowbells Hotel.

The Bowbells Hotel was built in 1929 and has lasted throughout the years with different owners, times of prosperity and times of abandonment. If walls could speak, this hotel would certainly have a lot to say!

In 2016 it reopened for business under the current owners with a restored and renovated interior that keeps the 1929 feel but has all the updated, modern amenities for a perfect stay.

The renovations still preserve a lot of its history and its cozy, bed & breakfast style will make you feel right at home.

You can stop for a latte and a sandwich at the Bistro right inside the hotel while you stay there or if you are just passing through.
