Google Local / PNX034 Much like the world-famous Brooks Falls in Alaska’s Katmai National Park, Wyoming’s Brooks Lake is a favorite destination of grizzly bears. If you plan to hike here, be sure to come in a group, make plenty of noise, and carry bear spray. It’s important, as always, to be vigilant about food safety and store anything with a scent in your car or in a bear box.

The campsites are first come, first served, and stay open throughout the season, until snow impedes travel.
