While Kansas isn’t necessarily known for its lush, large, and, numerous waterfalls, there are still several waterfalls that will take your breath away in the Sunflower State. The Chase Lake Falls is a triple waterfall that is certainly photo-worthy. Hiking to this triple waterfall in Kansas is the perfect way to spend your day as the hike is short, the climb is easy, and the views are spectacular.

The Chase Lake Falls are located at the Chase State Fishing Lake and Wildlife Area near Cottonwood Falls.

These falls are part of the Chase State Fishing Lake spillway. This means these falls are dependent upon the amount of rainfall in the area. If there has been little rain, these waterfalls may be small or you may not see them at all.

It is an easy and fast hike to reach Chase Lake Falls. You’ll trek on a 0.8-mile out-and-back trail that is rated easy. There is very little elevation gain, making it an enjoyable trail for the entire family.
