What’s their secret? Well, in addition to a hearty sourdough starter that’s in each and every pie, the eatery uses local, seasonal ingredients whenever possible. Chef and co-owner Sarah Minnick calls Lovely’s pies “ingredient driven,” and they truly are just that: informed by what’s fresh, available, and in season.

The result is pure pizza magic: perfect, crispy-crusted pies that are all wholly unique, yet also (miraculously) consistently amazing. Sourdough starters can be moody, but Lovely’s seems to have tamed theirs – dubbed “Jake” – into submission.
