Indiana has its fair share of awesome small towns. In fact, here at Only In Your State, we’ve covered quite a few of them (here are some of our favorites), but none are quite as unique as the one we’re covering today. If you’ve never heard of it (and somehow, quite a few Hoosiers haven’t), it’s a little town in east-central Indiana. It sounds perfectly average until you realize that half of the town is actually in neighboring Ohio. College Corner, Indiana, is also known as College Corner, Ohio, and it’s a lot of fun to explore when you get a moment. Of all the interesting small towns in Indiana, this one is probably the most unique, simply for its geography.

College Corner, also called West College Corner, Indiana, is located right on the state border with Ohio.

There’s not much to do in this sleepy little place, other than marvel at the strangeness of it all.

The nearest point of pride is just 15 minutes away; Hueston Woods State Park is on the Ohio side, and it’s full of adventure.

You can go hiking on any of the gorgeous trails available, or sail on the lake.

Charles Barilleaux/Flickr The park is easily the biggest draw to the area; it’s beautiful, and quite popular among wildlife enthusiasts. You can find it at 6301 Park Office Road, College Corner, Ohio, 45003.

Another quirky point of interest is the old post office, which is on the Indiana side and says “Ohio” anyway.

If you’re a fan of covered bridges, you can’t miss the one at the park (Hueston Wood Bridge).

Okay, okay. Maybe College Corner, Indiana, isn’t exactly the most happening place, but how often do you come across a town that spans two states with buildings that are literally half-in, half-out of both? We just thought this little town was so quirky and unique that we had to share!
