Calling all wine lovers… Have you truly lived if you haven’t found yourself barefoot and ankle-deep in a barrel of grapes at a grape stomping festival? We think not. With harvest season upon the South Carolina coast already, there’s a grape stomping festival coming up on Saturday, August 28, 2021 and you won’t want to miss it!

It’s hosted by Deep Water Vineyards on Wadmalaw Island, one of the coveted sea islands along South Carolina’s coast.

All tickets sales this year are online and in advance.

There will be three separate adult stomping competitions. Everyone will stomp with a partner… but if you don’t have one, then the festival crew will be happy to pair you up with another.

Deep Water Vineyard There is a limited number of competition slots so don’t wait. Stomping in the adult competition will cost only $10 per person. You’ll sign up and pay at the time you purchase festival entry tickets at this link.

Keeping the festival family oriented, there will also be one kids’ grape stomping competition.

The biggest event in the festival is always the Lucille Ball look alike contest.

Dress in your best “I Love Lucy” attire and compete for best in show as everyone cheers.

Deep Water Vineyard Deep Water Vineyard has a few other events throughout the year, but the Grape Stomping Festival is always the highlight of the year, so don’t miss it.

And if, by chance, you don’t want to compete but still want to stomp some grapes, there will be some barrels you can pop into and take a photo or two.
