The Alameda County Fair will take place later this year in the fall instead of during the summer. Don’t worry, though. It will be the same county fair that so many have come to love over the decades! Whether you come for the stomach-churning rides or the tasty food, this popular event is not to be missed.
When the Alameda County Fair was canceled last year due to the pandemic, it was the first time in more than a century that the fair didn’t take place. Finally, this event is making a return for 2021 and we couldn’t be happier about it!

The Alameda County Fair will take place this year from October 22 through October 31. Described as a “safety first event for the community”, you can expect to see some changes to ensure compliance with state and county COVID-19 protocols. Rest assured, it will still be the same fun experience that it’s always been.

The fair takes place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. A combination of live concerts, local art, animal showcases, and carnival games and rides, there’s something for everyone at this annual event.
