Up, up, and away…to Wausau, which is where Wisconsin’s newest hot air balloon fest, Taste ‘N Glow, will take place. Just a few months away, the brand new event is evolving quickly. And thanks to the hard work of volunteers and sponsors, attendees are in for a real treat.
Mark your calendars! Taste ‘N Glow is scheduled for July 9, 10, and 11, 2021.

A local couple came up with the idea for Taste ‘N Glow after the cancellation of Wausau’s annual Rib and Balloon Fest.

Trailmates Snowmobile Club is one of the sponsors and has generously offered up their grass drag tracks for the event.

The expansive grounds have another perk – more room for activities! Attendees can enjoy everything from log-rolling demonstrations to a tractor pull-style event.

And if you’ve ever wanted to gawk at a 50-foot whale, you’re in luck because the fest will have that too. More specifically, Colossal Fossil will be on site with the massive mammal.

Not only will there be dozens of hot air balloons, but the festival will also feature food trucks, a flea market, a swap meet, a children’s craft tent, activities, and lots more.

Of course, the highlight of the event is the balloons. Twenty-six balloons from all over the country are slated to be at Taste ‘N Glow. Of course, that number could always go up (up and away).

And unlike its predecessor, Taste ‘N Glow will offer tethered balloon rides!
