There’s nothing like hiking a gorgeous waterfront trail on a sunny day. Here in Ohio, our state parks feature several beautiful lakes that make great day trip destination. The Kendall Lake Loop Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park is one of the most scenic and easy-to-hike trails in the park. If you’re looking for a beautiful but not too challenging day hike, it’s the perfect place to explore.

A fairly popular but serene trail, the Kendall Lake Loop connects to the larger Salt Run Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Peninsula.

In the late spring and summer months, the lake is a deep emerald, reflecting the surrounding forest.
