Of course, The Kentucky Castle is one of the state’s crown jewels; it’s a premier boutique hotel, restaurant, spa, and event space that offers a plethora of experiences throughout the year. From rooftop workout classes to themed dinners (like the unique dinner listed above), the Castle is now the king of creative events and experiences on its property. Of course, it’s not the only castle in Kentucky – far from it! Located in Woodford County is an old, once-abandoned distillery housed in a small castle. The Old Taylor Distillery was built in 1887 by Col. E.H. Taylor, and today it’s a booming distillery in Kentucky. It’s the proud home of Castle & Key Distillery, which produces bourbon (obviously, because we are in Kentucky!), rye whiskey, and gin, making for a pretty epic Kentucky experience.
