New Yorkers have a few delicacies they are passionate about, and one of them is most definitely coffee. Coffee has been in New York since the mid-1600s, though the area was then called New Amsterdam. It goes without saying that the state has more than its fair of delicious coffee shops. One that we are particularly fond of is Peekskill Coffee House in Peekskill. All it takes is one visit (and one sip of the joe!) to see why it’s such a popular joint.
From one look at the unique Peekskill Coffee House, you’ll see that this is a coffee shop like no other.

The shop is often called “Peekskill’s living room” because it has such a comfortable, homey atmosphere. Peekskill is known as an artsy community and you can tell it by looking in the coffee shop.
Rob Fruhmann/Google Maps The walls are filled with local artwork and the shop usually hosts live musicians on weekends.
While they’re primarily known for their coffee and crepes, Peekskill Coffee House does have other foods for sale. They’ve got grilled panini, waffles, soups, and of course, bagels (we are in New York, after all!)

You definitely don’t want to miss the crepes. The only bad part is having to pick what variety to get! Savory? Sweet? They’re all so good!

All of the crepe and waffle batters are made in-house. They also offer vegan and gluten-free options!

The coffee is, of course, the star of the show. Their brews are incredible! They also have freshly-roasted grounds available for purchase.

Are you a fan of The Peekskill Coffee House? What’s your go-to order? Personally, we like the Italian Stallion…sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, and pesto on a crepe? Yes, please!
