Two iconic attractions that help give this town its fairy-tale-like appearance is Mosher Castle and Sheldon Castle. Mosher Castle (pictured) is the home of artist Dean Mosher and his wife, Pagan. It was designed by Mr. Mosher and constructed mostly from local materials. It has its very own moat and drawbridge, and it receives thousands of visitors each year.

Tolstoy Park is another iconic attraction that looks like something from a fairy tale. It was the home of Henry Stuart, a well-known hermit from Idaho that had contracted tuberculosis. He later became known as the “Hermit of Montrose.”
