Backyard Blooms in Portland came to be almost by mistake! Jason Aucoin and Kate Hanavan grew up as childhood friends, but lost touch over time. But, without knowing it, they both followed similar paths moving to San Francisco and then to Maine. They only reconnected after realizing they’d bought houses next to each other!
