Natural wonders, from waterfalls to ancient rocks, are pretty easy to find in Western Pennsylvania. That gives us plenty to discover and to explore, especially if we’re fans of hiking. If you’re up for a bit of a drive, a little over two hours, you’ll discover a gorgeous rock maze near Pittsburgh that dates back hundreds of millions of years.
Roll down the windows; turn up the tunes, and watch the landscape roll by as you make your way to Bilger’s Rocks in Grampian, about 107 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.

Bilger’s Rocks boasts several trails, totaling more than 10 miles. Just follow the color of the path you’ve chosen. If you’re up for it, you can even explore all 10 miles during your visit.

The kiddos can play at the playground while picnic tables are available if you’re up for having a picnic lunch or dinner. Bilger’s Rocks also hosts a concession stand at select times.
