Lately we’ve been really appreciating all the history here in New Hampshire. From museums to living history in the form of beautiful forests, there’s a historical attraction for those will any interest. Many of these are well-known, but there’s one place we recently came across that we’d never visited. If you’re looking for a cool, lesser-known place to enjoy some history head to Dartmouth College!
Make your way to Dartmouth College in Hanover and you’ll have access to one of the most interesting historical sights in the state.

The “Epic f American Civilization” was painted by Mexican-born artist José Clemente Orozco and it depicts a very unique version of American history.

Orozco began the painting in 1932 and it’s comprised of 24 different panels.

Unlike many other large murals, it was painted directly onto the walls while they were still wet plaster.

The Epic of American Civilizations mural at Darmouth College is free to visit, but the hours change depending on the time of year. It’s typically open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
