From May – September, Rhode Island’s Block Island becomes a top vacation destination for people from all over New England and beyond. And part of their annual tradition usually includes a stop or two at The Harbor Grill & Orchid Lounge, one of Block Island’s oldest restaurants. The eatery is about to open for the season, and we couldn’t be happier.
The Harbor Grill & Orchid Lounge is located on Water Street, inside the historic Harborside Inn.
Atticus177 / TripAdvisor Typically, the restaurant is open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day.
The restaurant offers indoor dining, outdoor dining, and a small outdoor patio called “the wicker section.”

The entire eatery has an island vibe, and the cocktail list is no exception.
Management / Tripadvisor If you drink, treat yourself to a Mai Tai, a Hurricane, or a Clay’s Head Punch. We don’t recommend drinking them all on the same evening unless you’re staying on the island.
The lunch and dinner menu consists mainly of classic and contemporary seafood dishes.
