Located in the Great North Woods region just minutes from the U.S.-Canada border is a fantastic restaurant where mostly locals go. Maybe you’ve stopped by while in the northern part of New Hampshire or maybe you’ve driven right past it. But if you haven’t yet been to the Spa Restaurant, put it on your foodie bucket list and make it a point to go. This is one eatery that is well worth the drive no matter what part of the state or region you live in.
The Spa Restaurant is located in the town of West Stewartstown in northern New Hampshire, just a few miles from the Canadian border.

It started as a small diner and meeting place for woodsmen in the area in 1927. Eventually, a dining room was added in 1956 as the business grew and, in 1994, the Outback Pub was added downstairs.

Order a plate of poutine, the French Canadian specialty made of French fries, gravy, and cheese curds. It’s insanely good and Spa Restaurant’s poutine has been voted some of the best in New Hampshire. This alone is worth the drive from any corner of the state!
