(Did you know Dilophosaurus is our official state dinosaur?) There are several spots to still see dinosaurs in Connecticut, albeit ones that aren’t alive. The Mystic Aquarium may be better known for fish and whales, but they’ve got other critters too! The Jurassic Giants exhibit is an add-on experience available at the aquarium.
Mystic Aquarium Not only will you learn about Jurassic giants, you’ll also see their modern-day descendants. There are frogs and reptiles on display, with lots of information about their fascinating life cycles.
Kids will absolutely love the animatronic dinosaur models on display! There’s a dozen models here, some of which are life-sized.

A ticket to Jurassic Giants will get you access to the dinosaur models and includes a film. The aquarium’s 4D theater shows “Dino Racers” and “Dino Island 4D.”
