Kentucky is quickly becoming a formidable player in the national culinary arena, with unique fare that fuses Southern, American, and global cuisine. And at Lexington’s The Grove, diners can choose from some of Kentucky’s best restaurants and bars — all in one place! This food hall in Kentucky isn’t just on-trend; it also showcases some of the best culinary talent in the Bluegrass State, and absolutely needs to be on your dining bucket list.

The Grove is Lexington’s newest dining hub; a collection of eclectic eateries and bars occupying one space in one of the city’s myriad historic districts.

A “micro community” on a mission to support local businesses, The Grove occupies the former McAdams & Morford building at 200 West Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky. Built in 1849, this former drug store is now listed on the National Registrar of Historic Places.

The Grove is the brainchild of Avena Kiely, who previously owned Harvey’s Bar in downtown Lexington.

Today, Harvey’s has been incorporated into The Grove’s food hall concept, offering some of the most creative cocktails in the Bluegrass State!

Joining Harvey’s are Fable Charcuterie and Wine and Luna’s Vintage Food Truck, plus an outdoor beer garden and The Melodeon, both of which are run by Kiely.

At Luna’s, the menu changes week to week, and day to day. Pictured here is an epic club sandwich with ham, bacon, cheddar, Swiss, heirloom tomato, lettuce, pickled banana peppers, and a zesty garlic scape mayo.

Other nights, the menu at Luna’s has more snack-y specials and tapas, like these loaded nachos topped with beef, cheese, salsa, sour cream, cilantro, and lime.

Fable Charcuterie is another of The Grove’s residents, and this trendy new spot dishes up some seriously swoon-worthy meat and cheese boards!

And because no community hub would be complete without a party space, The Melodeon (a former theatre) has been reincarnated into a blank canvas for live music, private parties, and local pop up shops!

In a post-COVID world where restaurants are still struggling, it’s heartwarming to see Kentuckians like Kiely step up and support local businesses, bars, and eateries. The Grove is a welcome addition to Lexington’s culinary scene, and a must-visit destination for all Bluegrass diners!
