Filled with rocky creeks and streams, huge outcroppings, and rock walls, the park’s terrain is very mountain-like – and that’s no coincidence. It’s in the foothills of the Appalachians.

The highlight of the park is definitely Bear Creek Canyon and its huge sandstone outcroppings.

According to some, the boulders, towering cliffs, and outcrops that fill the park form some of the most “picturesque and rugged scenery” in all of Mississippi.

With seven trails that range from 0.75 to 3 miles, the park can be easily explored by adventurers of all ages.
