Motorheads was open in 2018 by Ron and Pat Metzger as a place for those who shared Ron’s passion for car memorabilia and Springfield’s past.

You’ll have to set aside several hours to explore all that Motorheads has to offer and to enjoy a bite to eat! The menu, referred to as the “Owners Menu,” has an array of choices for hungry travelers.

All around the 7,000-square-foot bar and grill are vintage signs and other memorabilia from the good ol’ days of Route 66. The sense of nostalgia is palpable here.

Serving mostly pub-style food, you can feast on anything from jumbo pretzels, pickle fries, and quesadillas from the “Start Your Engines” appetizer section to pizza from the “High-Performance Pizza” section. There’s something for everyone!

The museum, inside the building with the Texaco facade, is open seven days a week starting at 7 a.m. each day. Enjoy viewing a variety of retro signage and classic cars, including a 1915 Ford Race Car.
