It’s hard to beat coastal Connecticut for unparalleled views of the ocean, especially at sunset. The Niantic Boardwalk provides a short hike that’s a bit over two miles round trip, along with these scenic views. So while you’re burning off the calories, amuse the eye with a panorama of beachgoers, aquatic life, and nature’s most vibrant colors. Ample seating lines sections of the Niantic Boardwalk for those inclined to watch, rather than join the hikers....
The Old Mystic area in Connecticut is a charming little historic district that will make you feel like you stepped back in time. One beloved shop right in the very center of Old Mystic is the aptly-named Old Mystic General Store. This place perfectly embodies the feeling of nostalgia you get from being in a historic place like Old Mystic. Old Mystic is a place that preserves its history. Oregon isn’t lacking when it comes to incredible scenic overlooks and jaw-dropping vistas.
