Located on 37 scenic seaside acres along the Grand Strand, the park opened in 1966, when boomers were just arriving in newborn nurseries all over the Palmetto State. The fun park was brand new back then and was a staple for family entertainment back in the day. Today, the vintage park is still going strong and should be on your radar for taking a trip down memory lane.
For the mere cost of a single ride, you can throw your hands in the air and scream like a child again on one of the park’s roller coasters.

That’s right: Family Kingdom doesn’t charge a park admission, like most amusements parks do. It’s one of the few in the country that offer a pay as you go option where you can just buy one ride at a time.
