Lake Mead National Recreation Area is just full of hidden treasures, and one of them is Rogers Spring. Located in the middle of the Southern Nevada desert, this place is a natural oasis that you’ll definitely want to seek out.

Rogers Spring is comprised of a small but gorgeous pool of warm water, perfect for wading in. It’s considered one of the most easily accessible warm springs in Southern Nevada. In fact, you can drive right up to the spring and walk to it.

The first thing you’ll notice upon arrival at Rogers Spring is just how tranquil it is. The area is blissfully quiet, and the desert landscape seems to go on forever.

The springs itself is stunning. With a flow of 720 gallons per minute, the pool boasts spectacularly clear water. The pool is about 50-feet wide and is only three feet deep at its center. Since the water’s temperature sits at around 80 degrees, it makes for a great place to visit all year round.

As you wade, you’ll find yourself overwhelmed by the spring’s idyllic setting. With large palms towering over you, small fish swimming all around the pool, and the sound of falling water igniting your senses, you can’t help but feel totally at peace.

Interestingly, nobody’s certain where the spring’s water source actually comes from. Although, many hypothesize that the water comes from an aquifer in the mountains near Ely.

If you do decide to visit Rogers Spring, keep in mind that there is an entrance fee of $10 into Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Additionally, waders are encouraged to wear footwear while in the spring, and never fully submerge their head in the water.
