In business since 1958, Santa’s Village in northeast Illinois is a locally-known amusement park with roots that go back to sunny California. An original version of this unique holiday-themed attraction opened in San Bernardino County six weeks before Disneyland.

This Christmas theme park is open May through October each year and features a wealth of activities. The man who opened the place grew up without getting to celebrate this holiday due to extreme poverty and wanted to create a world where it could exist nearly every day.
