Schaefer’s Auto Art has been an Erie favorite for more than 25 years, showcasing the artwork of Richard Schaefer.

Now a family affair, the art display was inspired in 1988 by Schaefer’s interest in the artwork form called “auto art.”

Because he worked in a junkyard at the time, Schaefer had access to quite a few hidden gems, including the old automotive parts he uses to create his metal masterpieces.
