Annadele’s Plantation/Facebook The property has an interesting history, beginning back in 1819 when they were looking for a place to put the St. Tammany Courthouse and jail for the town of Claiborne. Not familiar with the town of Claiborne? Well, sadly the town didn’t flourish as anticipated and eventually, the courthouse was abandoned. A new town, Wharton (now Covington) became the parish seat, and the land was divided up and sold off.
Colonel Thomas Sully purchased 24 acres and went to work building what would become Annadele’s.
Annadele’s Plantation/Facebook Built in 1834, the West Indian plantation-style home originally was a one-story home with four bedrooms and a kitchen. It has changed ownership a few times over the years, with each owner making additions and renovations.
Today, Annadele’s operates as a charming bed and breakfast and restaurant.
Annadele’s Plantation/Facebook The beautiful grounds and the spacious dining rooms make Annadele’s a perfect spot for any number of celebratory occasions including weddings, reunions, baby showers, and more.
The restaurant is open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday.

Featuring a menu full of Creole and French dishes,the meal at Annadele’s is certainly one to remember.

There are four suites available to rent.
