Enter St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis – one of the oldest restaurants in the state. As one of the oldest steakhouses in Indiana, it’s certainly earned its reputation as a legend, both locally and nationally.
St. Elmo Steak House was established in 1902 and, unlike other historic restaurants throughout the Hoosier State, it’s still in its original location.

St. Elmo Steak House/Facebook From Monday to Friday, dinner is from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Saturdays, you’ll find its doors open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and on Sundays, it’s open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. There’s also a lounge known as the 1933 Lounge, and it’s open Monday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., and on Sundays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
