Stony Brook is right near the massive, 140-acre Bristol Blake State Reservation which is home to forests, wetlands, and so much more. This sanctuary is operated by Mass Audubon, which supports more than 38,000-acres of land in the Bay State.

At the zoo, you will see a ring-tailed lemur, Australian emu, Carpathian lynx, and more! Located in Mendon, Maple Farm Sanctuary rescues animals that have been neglected and/or abused. You’ll find all sorts of farm animals here from chickens and turkeys to cows, goats, sheep, and pigs. Where can I find some beautiful outdoor places in Massachusetts? The Bay State has some incredibly beautiful outdoor spots, both natural and manmade, to spend some time and they can be found everywhere!. In the warmer months, take in a concert at the Boston Hatch Shell, the premier place for open-air events in the city. A visit here will also treat you to city and water views.
