Created in the 1930s when the Buzzards Roost Project spearheaded a hydroelectric facility to provide power to the local area, Lake Greenwood has 212 miles of shoreline coupled with 11,400 acres of water surface.

Plus a couple of trails create adventures through the forest and along the water. The 4.4-mile looped Scenic Shoreline Trail is the favorite for its views of the water and slow paced fun.
