Out in Southern California, there’s a lot of land you can cover by foot. Who doesn’t love a good hike? The Bridge to Nowhere actually has its own little hidden oasis, if you know where to look. This SoCal expedition is definitely bucket-list worthy! Let’s take a look:

Welcome to today’s adventure, a hike out on East Fork Trail that will lead to the Bridge to Nowhere. Well, almost nowhere. Near this bridge is where the little oasis lies in wait for people to find it.

Of course, the main attraction on the trail is the Bridge to Nowhere, a structure built in 1936 that originally led to a road before the road was swept away by floods in 1938. Out here, the canyons are some of the best scenery around.

Under the bridge, however, there’s a waterfall that you might not expect hiding out here. Down at the banks, this little waterfall is the perfect peaceful break from a hot trail.

Sitting down here for a while, it feels like your own mini oasis away from the hot sun. The trickling water is a peaceful noise in the canyon when the trail is empty.

The trail runs 9.5 miles out and back and is a medium-difficulty hike. Dogs are allowed to tag along as long as they are leashed, but be prepared to supply them with plenty of water, as it’s pretty dry out here.

Make sure to take everything back with you when you leave to keep things clean on the trail. On the weekends, bungee jumpers may be using the bridge, so plan accordingly.
