There’s just something about Queen Victoria, isn’t there? With a spine of steel balanced by the grace of a delicate spring wildflower, she governed her country with finesse and determination for decades. Beloved by many, she inspired an entire era and her reach extends far beyond just politics – into art, music, and especially, architecture.
From June of 1837 to January of 1901, one woman sat on the throne of England: Queen Victoria.

Step inside, and you’ll see why. The dining room furnishings are consistent with the theme of this regal old Victorian house, with ornate wooden buffets, gracefully curved chairs and tables, and shelves upon shelves of delicate china.

Some of that china is even available for purchase in their gift shop!

The original woodwork is always polished, and that painted botanic mural on the wall is a painstakingly preserved part of the original 1890s decor!
