For 150 years, the Historic Park Hotel has been the center of Put-in-Bay, Ohio. When the landmark first opened in 1870, it was called the Deutsches Hotel and featured just 26 rooms.

One especially disturbing story is that of a woman known as the governess who fell from the second floor down the stairs to the lobby, ultimately dying.

Now, the ghost of this woman is said to reside in Room 14, lingering especially near children who are staying at the hotel.

Another place you may detect paranormal activity is the Winter Bar, which is allegedly haunted by one former owner of the hotel who may have killed himself there.

Of course, many guests who stay at the Park Hotel don’t encounter anything at all! Haunted history aside, it’s one of the most unique places to stay in the region.
