The Milwaukee Railroad rail-trail certainly appeals to both beginners and advanced hikers alike. While it isn’t an overly lengthy or treacherous trail, there’s definitely a lot to see.

You’ll find the Milwaukee Railroad Trail at Thompson Park, which is located on the outskirts of Butte.

The trail is just under two miles in length, and as you might have assumed, it follows an old railway line.
