Seamon Park has hundreds of mums all over the park. They’re at their peak bloom by mid-October, when the Saugerties Mum Festival is typically scheduled.

Chrysanthemums are a bit of an underrated flower. With a mid-autumn bloom schedule, they have a tendency to fall by the wayside with all the focus on pumpkin patches and cider mills.

The mum festival attracts thousands of visitors to Saugerties. The art show is especially popular, with various categories for different art mediums like watercolor and pencil.

There are various family-friendly activities available at the festival. Previous years have included scavenger hunts, petting zoos, and more.
