This family-owned business is an absolute must-visit spot for Michigan wine lovers. Its gorgeous setting is just as wonderful as its fantastic products!

At the heart of the vineyard and winery is its iconic round barn, which was reconstructed in 1997 based on a historic Amish design. It now serves as the centerpiece of the business.

The winery’s owners based their use of the round barn design on an old legend: “With no corners, evil spirits cannot hide.” This saying has certainly held true for Round Barn, as it continues to enjoy incredible success.

Yelp/Chris B.

Round Barn hosts the majority of its wine tasting events within the barn itself, and visitors will be delighted by the winery’s wide array of award-winning tastes.

There’s something here for every sort of wine enthusiast. Sip on a chardonnay or taste delightfully unique black walnut creme wine. Talk about fantastic flavor!

Yelp/Jen F.

Of course, not everyone prefers wine, and Round Barn has the “others” covered. Visitors will also enjoy a wide selection of beers, as well as rum, vodka, and other spirits that are produced on-site.

Yelp/Ben B.

No matter what your preferences, one thing is absolutely certain: this unique Michigan vineyard is a true treasure, and a place you’ll want to visit again and again!

Unique Michigan Winery May 19, 2021 Sarah Does Michigan have many wineries? When it comes to stunning wineries, Michigan absolutely has its fair share. From the Old Mission Peninsula to the shores of Lake Huron, there are countless vineyards throughout the state that offer up some of the most delightful homemade wines imaginable. We share nine such wineries in Michigan that are perfect for a visit in this article, and even have a few more unique wineries to add to the list! In the winter, Chateau Chantal Winery and Inn in Traverse City has wine igloos for tastings! These adorable igloos are peak hygee goals; warm and welcoming and very unique! During your 60-minute slot, you’ll have the chance to sip pre-ordered wine or to select your beverages in real time. Options include a flight with three wines or a single glass. Another Traverse City winery, Mari Vineyards, offers an underground tasting in their wine caves! Situated ten feet below the earth, the caverns retain a constant temperature of 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit, along with 70 percent humidity: ideal winemaking conditions – and a memorable experience for Michigan oenophiles, too! What are some unique restaurants in Michigan? How does eating deep within a lush forest sound? At Chamberlin’s Ole Forest Inn in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, that’s exactly what you’ll do! This charming forest inn offers accommodations for overnight stays, but its restaurant is also a true hidden gem for visitors seeking a one-of-a-kind experience. While lush foliage is one gorgeous element of Chamberlin’s, it’s impossible to ignore what is perhaps its most impressive feature. This restaurant and inn is situated on a breathtaking bluff overlooking Big Manistique Lake. (Oh – and the food is equally memorable, too!) For other unique, only-in-Michigan restaurants, be sure to check out these restaurants with scenic views. What’s Michigan’s craft beer scene like? Michigan is home to many wineries, but beer lovers shouldn’t feel left out! Lake Charlevoix Brewing Company in Charlevoix is one of our favorite Michigan breweries. The lakeside views of this brewery are amazing, but the brews here steal the show. With options ranging from the Up North Pale Ale to the Pine River Porter, the beer menu is sure to impress! Detroit has an epic beer scene, too, and this article shares nine spectacular breweries sure to satisfy every taste and preference!
