Built in 1925, it was home to the famed author Eudora Welty for nearly 80 years! Today, it serves as a museum.

Unbeknownst to many, Eudora was an avid gardener – a trait she undoubtedly inherited from her mother.

Sometime after Eudora’s death, the garden was restored and is now home to many heirloom plants not commonly found in commercial nurseries.

Designed to provide a “parade of bloom,” the garden boasts colorful flowers year-round, even in winter.

A true work-of-art, the garden is an official stop on the American Camellia Society Gulf Coast Camellia Trail and a display garden for the American Daffodil Society.
