Most of us can agree that Maine has some of the most scenic spots to enjoy nature. Many are found off-the-beaten-path, secreted along the coast where only the most intrepid can find them. We love that the state offers so much adventure, but we don’t love the idea that finding beauty here requires effort. Instead, we like to find scenic spots that are accessible to many. This park has some of the best views in the state and it’s can be found right in Portland.
The Eastern Promenade in Portland sits at the top of the Munjoy Hill neighborhood overlooking Casco Bay. It’s a popular spot for summertime lounging as well as fun in the wintertime snow. And, as this photo proves, it’s one of the best views in the entire city!
