Recently, the website Canvas Factory set out to find the best food challenge in each state. The Whammy Challenge at Burgers and Blues took the Mississippi slot – and for good reason! In order to complete the challenge, diners must consume an enormous burger, heaping pile of fries, and milkshake. The larger-than-life challenge is definitely not one for the faint of heart. Take a look:

Burgers and Blues is located in Ridgeland, just off of County Line Road. Bound to be unlike any burger joint you’ve visited, it’s the perfect combination of a family restaurant and lively nightspot.

Aside from the incredible atmosphere, which includes a spacious heated deck, the eatery is known for its signature burgers. The tasty creations are made with everything from pimento cheese to pineapple.

One of the most popular burgers is the Whammy, which is the star of the restaurant’s “ultimate eating challenge.” The HUGE burger includes 3 one pound patties with all the trimmings.

In order to complete the challenge, which is officially (and fittingly) named the Whammy Challenge, you have to eat the entire burger plus one pound of French fries and a vanilla shake in only 30 minutes!

Those who succeed get their meal for free along with a tee shirt and their photo on the wall of fame. And anyone who breaks the current time record will also win a cash prize.

The challenge has been attempted by everyone from locals to celebrities, including Adam Richman from Man v. Food Nation, who completed the challenge in 2011 when he and his crew filmed at Burgers and Blues.
