Although Kill Kare State Park is on Lake Champlain, it’s in a lesser-known spot off the shoreline that’s perfect for a day of kayaking. And, because Kill Kare State Park is located on St. Albans Point (and less than an hour away from Burlington), it’s an ideal destination for going on an outing with your friends and family.
Since Kill Kare State Park is a little off the beaten path, it doesn’t get as many visitors as some of the more popular parks in Vermont. Along with renting a kayak, canoes are available for use too. There’s even an area for guests to launch their boats.
During the summer, the park is open from late May through early September. You can spend the day kayaking or stay at a look campground for a few nights.
