And while this trail, in particular, doesn’t take you to the highest point in New Jersey, it does offer the highest elevation gain on any New Jersey trail available on AllTrails.
So, if you’ve been wanting to try something long, steep, and painful: The Windbeam Mountain, Bear Mountain, Board Mountain, and Lake Rickonda Trail, located near Ringwood, is what you’re going to want to try.
