Though the terrain is somewhat hilly, Scattertown Trail is considered fairly easy. However, it should be noted that it’s not wheelchair accessible. There are a couple of things to keep in mind before navigating Scattertown Trail. First, decent footwear – i.e. no flip-flops – is a must. Also, if you visit during deer hunting season, it’s recommended that you wear orange. For more information on Scattertown Trail, call the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge at (662) 323-5548. You can also visit the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service website or the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge Facebook page.
